Interesting that non of you liked it. It was a fairly popular one with the rest of us here. I never saw The Matrix so any 'it ripped off The Matrix' comparisons went past me.

I thought it was an interesting idea for a story to be able to move so fast and yet they weren't completely in a fantasy about it because as Scully pointed out, it did affect the kid's bodies and bones in a bad way. I think it only afected teenagers because their bodies are still developing so M&S were too old to be affected by the vortex. Where the thing came from, who knows? But I guess it just was an analogy for kids getting their hands on drugs (in this case speed) and then abusing them.

One thing a lot of us enjoyed were all the Mulder and Scully moments. Maybe only us shipper/slightly shipper obsessed types got into it for that reason . ;-) But little things like Mulder greeting Scully with a big smile and tapping her with the file folder, Scully fiddling with Mulder's tie in that one scene while she asked him in almost a coy way to please do what she asked, Scully's reaction to Mulder getting a ook from Chastity in the hall. What was that all about? Lots of questions came up regarding their new behavior we thought we were seeing and wondering if it meant anything regarding a new direction for their relationship. It seemed to have a purpose to it. Or were DD and GA just having some fun?

For me, any ep where M&S are featured prominently in a lot of scenes together is a major plus. But I thought it was a decent x-file too and I liked the jokes you all liked.
