Well, I think that the houses were left to Tina to begin with and we see her at the time of her death in what appears to be an apartment. So I was thinking she did what many a widow has done (sold up and down scaled) also that means that Mulder may not have inherited until she died. That would settle the Monday and Unnatural Question. It is always possible that Mulder has his money invested and lives off of a set income. I would hope, since Scully had Mulder sign her living will a long time ago, that once Tina Mulder died that Scully was signed up to take care of Mulder in the event of incapacitation.

As for the marriage idea, I think that if they go that way they will opt for a wedding in Oregon. I have watched carefully and you can not see(on my TV anyway) Scully wearing her cross after they return from Oregon. She may have given it to Mulder instead of a ring. If they did a short notice thing. I think that the "it has to end sometime and that time is now" conversations are about this type of radical change in the MSR. Mulder is telling Scully that her time as his X-Files partner must end. Why? Obviously, because they are moving or have moved to a different type of relationship.

who has doubts that CC would have allowed them to marry but knows that it would solve a few writing problems, such as the apartment issue...on a side note, I thought Scully might move into Mulder's apartment or dispose of both and find larger quarters this season (suitable for a growing family)
