I'm not sure what all the complaining is about. CC seems to be trying to cater to a lot of different factions or maybe this is just what HE wants to do which is the best way if a writer has a vision. I wonder if DD and GA were pressuring him more and more lately to please do SOMETHING since they both seem to want the charccters to do some growing.

I really do like the discreetness of things if that is indeed what's ben going on. It also leaves a lot of things up to our own imaginations and we can come up with any ideas we want regarding Mulder and Scully's relationship.
