Subject: I think that Colleen

and Scully were alike in many ways--the only thing that I noticed was that Scully doesn't really listen to very many people. Maybe she needed to hear the message of "slow down" from a total stranger who had a few things in common with her. Not only hear it but see how Colleen had been able to pull off a major life change for herself. I don't think there was any sort of sexual connotation involved other than the message of "if you love someone, go for it and don't let things prevent you from doing so."

I liked having an episode that looked at the MS relationship from a different viewpoint. I think it added depth to the series as a whole. The message I got this time around was not necessarily about person to person (am I being politically correct?) relationships, rather that we are so busy with everything else in our day to day lives, that we just don't take time to think or reflect on the things that matter. I also think that this ep. was telling us to find ways to eliminate stress as much as we can--if only in our personal lives. The slo-mo was there to put our minds into a slower thinking speed, IMHO, and the sounds we heard are ones that I think most of us can filter out--we don't even notice them anymore as we rush from one thing to another.

Wow--too much philosophical thinking here for me--time for a nap!
