I wondered about the disk but thought that CSM decided to control the world--keep all the answers to himself--which was why he tossed into the lake. Maybe you're right--it might have been useless-or at least unreadable to CSM. Maybe Scully would have known how to translate it using her science or experience with Mulder? Or maybe Scorpio was delusional and CSM was just plain disgusted with being misled.

The trach tubes that I have seen weren't metal nor were they implanted like his was. He wasn't talking through the trach--it seemed like he had natural speech. I do know that people can have ordinary speech with one of these things if their larynx is intact. They just have to learn to speak differently. Trach tubes are also used for people who may need to use a respirator at night or who cannot breath efficiently through their noses or mouths. Sorry you both had frightening experiences--I just can never figure out why people like CSM continue to smoke. My uncle was dying from smoking induced emphysema and still asked for cigarettes to his dying day.

I was wondering why CSM just didn't have the Bounty Hunter heal him but then maybe he had used up all his "chips" with him. OR the Bounty Hunter found out about the conspiricy and won't help CSM out anymore now that he has what he probably came for. Any ideas?
