more signs of Mulder displaying his love for Scully than you do. He has always been there--by her side when bad things happened to her. He was more than frantic everytime she disappeared and when he said that he didn't want to lose her again, I guess THAT was the window into his soul which still leads me to believe that he loves her and is IN love with her. As far as the events you spoke of, we don't know what happened later--the scene with the Harvard scholars was embarassing for her and for him. She is a strong willed person and maybe he read her reaction as saying that she needed to handle this alone for the moment. He wouldn't do anything to embarrass her further in front of her colleagues. Also, this sort of thing happens to him all the time--she really never has had this experience on a personal level. Maybe he reacted this way because he knows she needs her space at times.

I disagree that he fell out of love with her in Triangle--that smile of his at the show's close (along with the way he touched his face where she slugged him) tells me that he loves her even more.

The S7 episodes have her asking Mulder about the paranormal possibilities. She has actually started to suggest the same kinds of answers or possibioities that he always had been and he has just stepped back a bit, smiled at her newly found ability to think along the same lines as he does.

When Mulder suggested that the whole conspiricy was a governmental plot, her response was that she couldn't follow him down that path. She seemed to quite determined to find out just what the truth was and is still looking. She is just willing to take whatever route comes before her--unlike Mulder who wants to go in a straight a line as possible. I agree that crop circles aren't her bag but the invisible body and other kinds of scientific anomalies are just what catches her interest.

Either way, we just have to wait until S8 comes out to find answers. Remember ***Trust No One *** The Truth IS Out There!!!
