Subject: I just saw Orison and it was great!

I thought Orison was a good show. It was scary and even funny in parts. I especially liked how Mulder said that plenty of nutbags think God talks to them and he asked Scully if God spoke to her and when she said she was finding it hard not to take offense and he said "What did he say?" I thought that line was hilarious. My hubby laughed and said "Mulder is a shit isn't he?" And we just laughed even more. That's why I love Mulder. He has a laconic way about him that appeals to our sense of humour. DD is a bit that way too I've noticed but I haven't had an opportunity to really see him as himself. Only on Letterman and in an interview on one of my tapes. I know that I have liked him more since seeing him inperson than I did from just reading his interviews or articles about him. They don't do him justice I don't think.

I loved the ending in slowmomute. Didn't realise that's how they did it. Donnie was as creepy as ever and when he was setting up all the candles in readiness for the wig -wearer I got hackles on my neck. Even though I basically knew the story I was still scared. I wished that I hadn't known it coz then it would have been really scary.

As for Orison, well he was obviously just an excuse to get Donnie out of prison in a way that would attract Mulder and Scully. All that stuff about Scout and the song etc was a bit decoyish I think. I agree with those who thought it was a little bit irrelevant but we did need an excuse to get Donnie out. I can't be bothered trying to dig deeper to find greater meaning of these spiritualistic things tonight.

Now for the end. Well, I thought that was quite shippy even though others didn't think so. Mulder was clearly upset about what happened and what was going on in Scully's apartment. He just wanted to get her out of there. And he bent right down very close to her face as they spoke while she was sitting on the bed. He sounded reassuring, I thought.

All in all I enjoyed this show. Perhaps as a shipper I will enjoy the coming shipper drought much more than you poor Nth American shippers did as I won't be craving for shippiness in each new show and being disappointed. I know there is no shippiness and so I can enjoy other aspects of the show which I love as well.

That head policeman or sheriff or whatever he was, was the bone guy at the Dallas field office in the Movie. He looks very familiar and I have been wondering since seeing him in the movie, if it is the same man who played Candy in Bonanza. Can someone confirm that please?

Stardoe, thinking why on earth Scully had to be so righteous in the first place by pleading for life for Donnie instead of the death penalty. Stupid woman.
