I wondered about the timelines too-but I think all he did was have her drive around in circles--just so whe couldn't backtrack to the old lady's house, the lake, etc. I doubt that she was even where he said they were. I agree--I wasn't too happy with the atmosphere after she returned. Even though she had tried to fool CSM, I think it took this episode for her to realize how cunning and deceitful he is. Maybe she has learned to watch her back better which is what Mulder seems to be good at doing--at least tries to do. The only good thing I can say about CSM is that he confronted her about how she feels about Mulder--made her think a little bit. My question is, HOW does CSM know what she is thinking too? Does her computer chip also send messages to him (besides stopping her cancer)?
