Easy, easy! Just kidding!! Ha! Hairytoes, you have echoed my thoughts exactly. Except I don't love CSM exactly like you do, but that's ok :-)

You've touched upon all the points I would have. I like this episode very much.

Only things I would add to your (and mine!) thoughts is I think WBD glossed over the sudden remission of cancer conversation without referencing Scully's own experience which was a bad omission, IMHO. They didn't reference it did they? I've only watched it once....And Yea! for the return of alien technology! I liked that it was proven, IMHO, that the cancer cure was of alien origin. Previously we could have interpreted Scully's cure as either the chip or Divine Intervention. This episode pretty much sewed it up as alien technology.

Who WAS that mysterious character Cobra and how did he have the information?! Maybe he was connected with WMM?? Is Krycek working with/for HIM? arrgghh!

Also at Scully's apartment, I loved the totally realistic conversation between the landlord and Mulder, but I loved the fact Mulder said something about mentioning how many people had died in there and the landlord saying we don't talk about that. Wonderful.

I loved the switcheroo of the characters too in the empty office, Scully saying what we have heard from Mulder countless times esp. in earlier episodes, and Mulder saying Scully's lines. Only thing is his lines were from a different perspective, very very nicely done.

I didn't particularly like the voice-overs either, and thought it sounded awkward, but it didn't take that much from the episode. They just seemed kind of tacked on.

And yes, hairytoes, I like that CSM has proven again just how vicious and deceiving a black-lunged SOB that he is! Ha! Another thought about him throwing away the disk. How dare he play judge and jury, or God, in deciding for all of the human race it didn't need that technolgy! Oh, so _very_ CSM...

I thought WBD would be able to write a nice episode and he did. He understands the characters so very well and had them say and do things that seemed very realistic. I hope all the other writers were paying attention?

Thanks for your post,
Chantal
