Would you expect otherwise? ;-)

Diana may have loved Mulder, but not in the strong, self-sacrificing way that Scully does. She continually put her own interests ahead of his. And then she put her own interests before his well-being. His life even. In the end she did the honorable thing, and gave her life up to save Mulder, but it took Scully confronting and shaming her into it before it happened.

So, while I do not necessarily think Fowley to be the entirely malevolent and evil creature I originally did. I still do not believe her love for Mulder was anywhere near as pure or strong as Scully's.

Yes, Scully does make Mulder prove his opinions. But that's part of what he likes in her. He has stated so. She has put her life and career on the line for him numerous times. She puts her plans on hold and follows him at the knock of a door or the ring of a phone. She is truly devoted to him. And even CSM can see she's in love with him.... Yes, she is afraid at this point to openly admit it, but she says with everything she does.

As for her actions in "En Ami".... she did nothing that Mulder hasn't pulled on her a thousand times. And if she wanted to have any chance at all of getting this cure, she couldn't tell him. She had to lie. He has voluntarily ditched her every time. He has had the choice. She didn't. And she did try to let him know the truth. However, CSM's pal intercepted the tape. Not her fault. I have no doubt that the "rift" will be mended. Maybe it did him good to get a taste of his own medicine for a change.

DRH :-)
