I've been reading people pointing out that scene and I didn't catch on at all! She is very protective of him when it comes to him looking like a fool. She'll always do her best to prevent that. I think that's why she called Skinner. She was so hoping he'd order them to get away from those cameras. And when he just said the FBI has nothing to hide she was stuck.

Another part I loved which may or may not not be shippy but I liked it a lot was the way Scully kept grabbing Mulder by the arm and pulling him away. I don't think we've ever seen her grab him like that and be so physical toward him.B u she seemed very comfortable doing it. Usually he initiates any touches such as the hand on her back thing.It struck me because it seemed so different from any other time she's touched him. The most has been her puttine her hand on his hand. Usually when he's in the hospital or in pain a la the diary scene in Closure. She's hugged him yeah, but again only in a comfort aiding way. I've never seen her just reach out and grab him! Go Scully! I think Scully liked having a hold of one of Mulder's nice arms! :-)
I also loved Mulder telling her "I'm clear about that Scully." Listen to how his voice cracks when he says Scully. It's so cute! Like a little kid.

I also thought it was interesting to hear him say she'd look good in bubblegum pink. Sure he's kidding around but any comments at all about her appearance are very rare for him. Maybe he really would to see her in that wig!
I actually thought there was a lot of M&S realting simly by the fact that they were partners and had much more of a close realtionship than the other cops. That came across clearly on camera.
