I'm having a hard time concentrating on putting thoughts into words because this ep got me so upset! The last time I was this upset was when it ws revealed in "Leonard Betts" that Scully had cancer. And this is worse because we know there won't be a happier resolution fruther down the road. Or as Mulder said, the end of the road.
It's been a long time that an XF has really moved me to this extent.
This ep was so amazing. You know how so many XF eps (especially lately unforunately) are full of flaws? This one was exteemely well crafted in every respect and tightly woven the only thing that bthered me at the time I was watching was when Mulder was in his motel room and Harold came to see him after telling him he knew about his sister at the grave site. Mulder seemed very open to Harold's ideas and then sudenly at the motel he sort of acted liked Harold was a big joke. It seemed like an abrupt change as if a scene was missing.

Yes you've got it (I think!) The walk ins are other souls rescuing the kids from violent death or maybe in Sam's cse further torture with the tests. I loved seeing how strong she had become and Mulder being so proud of that.

I have a theory on what Mrs. M whispered in his ear. Someone else commented here that he slept til noon that day. Well maybe Mr. M told him to let Scully do the work and help him. She got the info on Sam being at the hospital. He had told her before he wanted to handle things his own way and I said "AHHH! and called him a bonehead". Well that theory's just an idea. I'll have to think about it more.

Yes it was great that Mulder has a litle piece of Sam with him now. That diary scene was just beautiful. This whole ep should be DD's Emmy submission.

I think Spender and Samantha must be about the same age. Sam was abducted when she was 8. Was she taken to that house right after that? The longest she would have been with Jeffrey was 6 years. More than likely they erased Jeffrey's memory after Sam disappeared. Remember she ssaid in her diary they were taking away her memory. So they probably wiped Jeffrey's clean so he wouldn't talk to anyone about her.

Well I can't describe how torn up I am about this! Poor Mulder! I know he feels free but I still feel so bad for him that he didn't get what he wanted. A least now he knows. But I feel bad for Harold who hasn't let go yet and Mulder who feels bad for him!
