Normally I would agree that Mimi Rogers is a very capable actress, but after repeated viewings of the 'Fowley period' eps I can't help feeling totally indifferent to her character. I neither liked or disliked her. I appreciate that the character was meant to be an austere person, but even when she was supposed to be conveying warmth & love for Mulder, I just didn't believe it. Mulder & Scully's reactions to Diana were the only parts that I believed, rather than the moments that provoked them.
Maybe CC wanted a very cold character, but I can't believe he wanted her to be two-dimensional. Perhaps someone like Catherine Keener or Miranda Richardson could have given us that third dimension a little bit quicker.

XXX Sig :)
