Although we should probably blame DD in part since Rogers is his friend and he got her on the show! But we might compare this too Fire. I was watching that again recently and they really seemed to be trying to create some sort of chemistry between Phoebe and Mulder and it didn't work at all. The M&S chemistry just far outshined it.

I was watching some of Biogenesis the other day and every time I saw Fowley she just made me go Eww! So I guess that might be attributed to MRs acting but I also couldn't care much about her charactere. I think trhat's more the fault of the writers than the actress.

To respond to Devlin's question I think F&S were supposed to be working on the X-files but it seemed like Spender was handling it alone. We never seemed to see Fowley. Perhaps she was off scheming with CSM. The big problem was in bringing her in as a foil and then dpong an about face. Are we supposed to think her intentions toward Mulder are noble now? The should have been consistant. I think it was just a case of a poorly created chartacter. There was no depth to her.
