Subject: I think Fowley...

.....was a good way to extend the mythology and maybe give us more info about it. I wanted to know just who she really was and whether she was only using Mulder in the beginning and how she came to be involved with CSM. I thought she would be a fresh track for the mythology to take for a while and my major disappointment about her demise is that she wasn't used as well as she could have been. I liked the way she put tension into the MSR and made us wonder about her relationship with Mulder and I am disappointed that CC only used her for this. Very weak in my opinion. Her death was weak as well but I don't agree that she was redeemed at all. Sure she might have given Scully the card to get to Mulder but I think that was because in her last converstion with CSM she realised exactly what he was and that what he was doing was only serving himself and not Mulder as I think he had led her to believe. I think she did love Mulder all along and decided in the end to save him from CSM who had duped her into thinking she would be helping Mulder by helping him.

In the end, I think only Scully thought she was better than she was. In the end scene I don't think Mulder agreed with Scully that Fowley had redeemed herself. The look on his face was one of disagreement, I thought. Fowley betrayed him and he knew it. I don't think he was sad about her death but more sad about the betrayal. We won't really know I guess.
I think Chook Face *is* dead because Scully had obviously seen the body or was told by someone who had. I wonder who CSM got to kill her?
