I like to think that her cancer had nothing to do with the events of 'Never Again'. This episode was about Scully breaking free of, what she perceived as, stagnation. To suggest that it was due to anxiety over her cancer devalues her choice & implies that it was some veiled cry for help. Also, 'Never Again' was produced before both 'Leonard Betts' & 'Momento Mori' so I hope that CC never intended it to be about her cancer.

XXX Sig :)
