Subject: One answer, two questions...
In reply to: devlin 's message, "Two Fathers (and One Son!)" on 14:00:32 07/10/00 Mon

First of all, there isn't a single myth ep I don't like. The myth-arc is one of many things that I love about TXF - and yes, MOTW's are another, but that's an entirely different story. ;-)

This two-parter in one part was a real treat. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but... Did anyone else feel that for every answer, we got at least two more questions? I'm not complaining, it's what I like most about TXF. Unlike most TV shows TXF makes you think, makes you excercise your brain cells, or cell in my case.

Quite a lot was revealed, but I have to admit I'm still confused. In fact, I don't think I've ever been *more* confused! There are so many questions. I still wonder how it all fits together.

First of all, Cassandra is the one? How about all those clones we've seen, they were part human and part alien, weren't they? The Kurt's, the Samantha's, and the Gregor's... Is their existence now officially denied by CC and Co.? Or is there some other explanation?

Another thing I find strange, and which is an X-File all by itself, is that the alien-human hybrids bear an uncanny resemblance to the alien rebels. Well, that is, they both have green, blood, they 'melt' when they die, and oh yes, they both have a healthy skin color. Whereas the oilians have black blood, aren't kown to melt, and look like they've just stepped out one of those early black 'n white SF pictures and forgot to turn their color on.

And what about the alien bounty hunter, where does he fit in?

Those are just a few of my questions. I have many more. I'm thinking of re-watching all mythology eps in order. I think it would be interesting to see if it's possible to come up with a plausible theory that explains all we've seen so far. Maybe it could also provide a hint about what's going to happen next.

The alien rebels, Krycek and CSM all seem to have their own agenda's, and it will very be interesting to see what they are. I'm sure it'll be quite a while before we find out.

I was puzzled by the rebels' behaviour. Why did they initially let Cassandra live? To expose the conspiracy? The cost could've been very high: the start of the invasion. Do the rebels care only for themselves, or have they come to Earth to help 'us'?

More later...

Mat
