That is wonderful News!! Ready To Go was my first LM besides the Small Wonder I have. I am totally in love with him! I have taken him on several errands I have. Most of the people just think the doll is adorable and want to touch and carry him! I swear I could probably be a LM doll dealer! lol lol So far my sister inlaw got the Pampers Kid (asian face mold ) She doesnt collect anything but when my brother saw the catalog he asked her if she wanted it ! I swear if I had a camera for her reaction! She was jumping up and down saying yes please! She's older than me andI'm 31 ! I just had a birthday party for my 5 yr old daughter and I dressed up Ready To Go and Best Friend Bear too! All my adult guests were holding and cradling them! LOL
The biggest surprise of all was when my 5 yr old had finished opening up all her gifts and realized the one thing she's been begging for was not here :( She wanted a girl Small Wonder and pink Carriage/Stroller. Well we walked her outside telling her we needed to go get something ....Her Small Wonder girl was sitting in a pink carriage sucking her thumb all dressed up in awhite bonnet,and 2 piece outfit with booties! We got her reaction on video too lol. My daughter lit up and started screaming jumping up and down saying "Oh my God , I knew it would come!" Sorry for the long post :) I just wanted to tell all you young collectors that think that parents just dont understand how much you want these adorable babies.Parents do know , I'm a parent of 2 girls myself. I cant get them every little thing they ask for but I get them just about everything on their wish lists! I was a child of a single widowed mom we were 5 brothers and sisters living in poor conditions. I did not own 2 barbies not 10 barbies , I dont even remember having a barbie! Christmas ...was one gift.
My school clothes??? were all sewn by my mom. There were many times that I got sooooo angry with her because I wanted something and she would snap and say NO!!! I didnt know back then that the reason for NO was because ,she had to think about stretching the meals,paying the rent and utilities... I admit I spoil my daughters TOO much but I dont let them forget how lucky they are to have so much when others have so little. I think its wonderful that young girls are so into these Dolls instead of drugs or doing the wrong thing. I know teenages are far from perfect , and us parents get frustrated because we see the same mistakes we made being repeated. We always try to stop it from happening. SO when you think us parents just dont get it ,trust me please when I say WE GET IT lol. Print this message and show your parents :) You might be surprised ! There are soooo many worries for us parents that you guys have no idea or maybe take for granted why things run smooth in your household,like mykids notworrying about our mortgage getting paid,all our credit card debts,the nice car they ride in to shcool with cold A/C!that costs us as much a mortgage! lol So if you ask your parents for one of these dolls and get a NO as an answer ,try not to be upset or angry. There is usually a really good reason you dont know.I agree these dolls are expensive but WORTH IT! Your parents will come around and try to help you get one of these babies!
