The board, that is. ;-) You should see Islandgirl's thread on the M&S board. She posted on this very thing and I think she or someonre else used the same phrase, "a slap in the face."

For me, it doesn't bother me. The way I figure, Mulder and Scully are CC's one pure, mythological, special cople that adhered to the idea he wanted them to live up to and all others can just be ordinary. He doesn't have the same care invested in them. On Reyes' part we have had indications that she loves him in several episodes. Doggett was more of a quick leap but I guess he could have had an epiphany.
I don't doubt that they may have rushed things along to try to boost ratings. You gotta try what works I guess.

There weren't that many Audrey Pauley comments. You should read my review at least. ;-)
