You may have something here. I never thought about Bill Mulder being the father of Jeffrey Spender. It could have happened as an invitro thing with Cassandra during one of her tests. Had she done the naked pretzel thing with Bill Mulder, I would think she may have remembered and told Scully when they were talking in the hospital. I thought CSM killed him because he was disappointed that JS wasn't "the son Fox Mulder was" or that now that JS knew who CSM was and had access to him, JS was a real threat.

I was wondering today also why Bill, Teena and now Mulder were all sick with something while Samantha was abducted instead of her brother. Were Bill and Teena experimented on, making them sick, and Samanthat was the only healthy one? Did CSM know of Mulder's powers or of a forthcoming health problem?
