...So, KM your use of the term "Chosen One" stems from Scully's IMMORTALITY issue. I agree with you that idea was set up in CBFR and then carried through to greater extent in the Photographer One...but I question how being Immortal makes her the "Chosen One" and since I watched Buffy from the beginning as well as the X-Files I can catagorically state that Buffy was the "Chosen One" long before anyone called Scully that...except in non-canon stories or something.

Buffy is refered to as "The Chosen One" in Welcome to the Hellmouth which aired in 1998. "Into each generation a Slayer is born, she alone will stand against the darkness...(or in Buffy Summer's case, have wild monkey sex with the Darkness) but the point I am making here is RE: Chosen ONE!

Normally, even if XF decided to call Scully the "chosen one" it wouldn't strike a nerve but Buffy is kind of the show that X has been unfavorably compared to the last two years or so. At least, in TVGuide and my Local Paper and such(and, of course, by me and my vampy buddies who used to watch X religiously). So it would be kind of pathetic if CC used that particular term to describe Scully(who in my opinion is just fine being Scully, you know...Federal Agent, Partner, Lover, Touchstone, Abductee, Daughter, Mom and Doctor, Pathologist, Bad-Ass First Person Shooter, and all around expert on the paranormal with more lives than the average house cat).

Rabid/Raeann
still wondering if they are referencing Scully in this manner or is it just a phrase that KM is using to acknowledge that Scully is darn special in her own right...
