Her mind kept drifting to him, no matter how much she scolded herself. Even now her mind was drifting, but this time to Tommy's phone call the night before. She smiled again, shifting to grab some notes and papers she had recently graded before she leaned back to watch him do his things, he was great at what he did and while at first she had thought him silly for not loving his job - she could kind of see how his talents were wasted here. He deserved to be in some great place, teaching kids that wouldn't have a chance to learn otherwise. Her tongue creeped out to run across her lips before she took a sip from her water bottle, tearing her eyes away from him finally as she stood up to take over. • Even when he didn't feel like teaching, or when his mind was a million miles away, and he just couldn't concentrate on a single thing - the moment he stepped up infront of a class of students, whether they were eager to learn or not, he had a talent for engaging. There were people who were good with kids but not with explaining concepts, and there were people who conflicted with people but gave clear and concise instructions, and then there were people who were born for the profession of an educator - and he was one of those. After answering a few questions and then setting up the discussion, he stepped back to lean against the edge of his desk as Keila took over. As soon as he was out of the spotlight, he allowed his thoughts to wander - desperately trying to figure out what he had done to deserve this cold spell... • She brushed past him - though she wasn't trying to be cold to him - after her being so warm and tender before this could be mistaken as chilly. She had a sweet demeanor and an honest desire to see kids learn so they responded well to her honestly - it didn't hurt that she was the kind of girl young guys dreamed of and young girls idolized, not just because of her looks but because of her personality. She went about leading the class easily, getting into a heated discussion with quite a few members of the class about the political background behind twain's writings before she looked at the clock and then to Aiden - not knowing if he wanted to wrap things up or not. • He was impressed with how naturally she could handle even the largest of groups, and was busy admiring this fact when she turned the attention to him again. The slightly unprepared look to his features and the less-than articulate mumble that escaped his lips initiated a few giggles from a couple more observant students - though most didn't catch him in his distracted state. • She nodded a bit before she looked at the clock, they still had another good ten minutes but there was really no harm in letting out a little bit early. She finished up the conversation and dismissed the class, taking her time to chat with some of the students. A group of three, two girls and one guy, surrounded her to discuss the assignment and just every day stuff and occasionally a soft laugh was heard from her though her mind wasn't really on the conversation at hand - it was on getting out of there and finding a way to spend her time until her 4:00 o'clock class. Once everything was cleared up, he said some quick goodbyes and turned his attention to the papers infront of him - not that he really had anything to read. • "Yeah... Really well. Thanks.." He didn't really know what to say to her, or how to act. While she seemed nice enough and was definitely polite, there was just nothing more there - and that was what he was missing. He was sure that he couldn't have done anything to upset her, and all he knew was that it seemed to have happened when Tommy was shooting his mouth off. His problem though was that he hadn't been the one trash-talking her, and simply hadn't had a chance to stand up for her, so he didn't know how she could be mad at him for that. She questioned idely, her fingers playing with the black messenger bags strap before she brought her gaze back to him. It really hurt, all this that was going on, because she never had gotten the impression that he would be type to bang about a fuck. Obviously, she had been wrong though, she was just an awful judge of character. At least the visit with her parents had gone well and she was a little bit more relaxed in general. He was feeling terribly guilty and the worst thing was that he didn't even know why. But if she didn't want to talk to him, he couldn't force the words out of her.. With that done with she headed back into the room, her brow furrowed as she walked over to him once again, pausing only briefly to set down her bag . She settled on leaning agaist her desk, a good professional distance between them. "Whats wrong?" She questioned, her arms crossed under her chest and her eyes obviously concerned. No matter how much he hurt her, she still cared about him and didn't want him upset, it bothered her.
