I watch a few sitcoms, but like most of you - I dont like the standard laugh-track ones. What amazes me is the networks keep pushing out a bunch of new formula type shows in the past couple of decades, that only get cancelled a few weeks later. Why bother? Go for unique - it will keep more interested.

I do like some sitcoms, but they are old and I have to resort to late night reruns like IG, and cheap DVD's from the thrift store. I got season one of Malcom in the Middle and would love to see season two. I never watched it while it was on because I thought it was a standard one, but I was wrong. Not totally, but almost!!! Arrested Development is another one I like, just like my movie tastes, I prefer sitcoms to be on the quirky side.

Think about (those who are old enough anyway) wayyy back when the first ep of Mork and Mindy was aired. It had some originality (remember My favorite Uncle?) but by the third season it had gotten too strange. Trying to appeal to too many tastes. TV execs `should try for something original than trying to redo old bad idea's.

The Big Bang theory is good. I saw it by accident online and now I try to watch an ep a week. Online of course!!!! Jim Parsons is funny because in the past few years techno nerds have become stnadards on network TV drama shows (think CSI and even NCIS) as being hero's more than being picked on. Now they are showing thier funny side!!!
