I tried watching Community when it first aired last season. It was ok so I watched it a couple more times but just couldn't keep interested so I stopped. I ejoyed hier little commercials they did during the Emmy telecast and since betty White was a guest star I decided to give the first episode this another try. I think I'd missed too much. I just wasn't getting it. It doesn't tickle my funny bone. I do like the one character, the Chinese Spanish teacher, I forget his name.

Philadelphia actually looks too raunchy and low brow for my tastes.

Modern Family is good but I think the other ABC Wednesday show The Middle is just as good. Some weeks one will be funnier than the other. They're both good. Of the new shows, I'm kinda liking Raising Hope. It's got that quirky appeal to it I like as opposed to run of the mill family sitcoms.

The Big Bang Theory I just don't get either and I don't know why people think that Jim Parsons is so funny. I've tried it but I'm just not getting it. Maybe you're right, it must be the nerd factor. Same goes for How I Met your Mother.
