I read that Kiefer was happier with this finale than last year's which sort of had a cliffhanger. He said next year would be different.

The Palmer storyline: David woke up & will take a dive for his sins. Can't imagine a candidate pulling out at the point of the debates (that would mean its October). I guess Sherry is dead, I thought maybe they'd say she's in intensive care or in a coma or something. So no Palmer next year? They could fit him in some how, maybe next year will take place before his term is up.

I thought Tony would come up with such brilliance when back in charge that they'd forget the charges but not to be. In the real world, Tony & Jack & Michelle (she defied orders las year) would all be in jail. I bet Tony could be brought back in for next year's crisis. But Michelle will have grow close to Jack in the meantime.

They violated the real time law again. After a commercial break, Jack & Chase have gone from the school to a hospital and Chase is already in surgery! In less than 5 minutes! No one needed Jack to stay on the scene? Or check him for the virus? Are they sure that fridge was air tight? I think they can reattach Chase's hand, that's what the surgery was for. It seemed Jack cut it clean, good thing he didn't have to whack it several times. Where the hell did that cuff thing come from anyway? I never saw it on any of the virus bombs until then.

Gael's wife found a gun in Gael's desk, the rest didn't know she had it. That was nonesense, just making Jack's job harder. Jack's breakdown was great. I'm disappointed the heroin addiction angle was dropped. Chase would be forced to quit in the real world after all then punishment he took in one day (tortured, shot in hand, hand cut off, slashed, etc.). I wish 24 would just focus completely on CTU & a mission they are doing without any outisde drama which comes out silly 90% of the time.
