Good, I thought maybe I'd missed the boat (so to speak ;)).

The island definitely was the reality. Christian Shepard explained that to Jack. I don't see the sideways alternative as purgatory exactly, just a place where they would all gather when they all figured out they were dead.

I was confused about Jack's death, especially as it related to Vincent--my favorite character--I'm always worried about him! I thought with Jack dying that meant Vicent would be left on the island all alone. :( That made me sad. Because he seemed to be the last one to die. As Locke said, they were all waiting for him. So with Rose and Bernard already there who stayed with Vincent o the island?

But knowing how the sideways reality had no time frame, Rose and Bernard could had lived out a long life on the island and had Vincent with them for a number of years. The whole point of Rose staying on the island was because her cancer went away so I would assume she lived a long life unless a polar bear got her or something.

The last episode was very emotional for me. I liked the ending and I think those, including tv reviewers who were angry thinking they had all died in the plane crash, may have been confused by the closing shots of it. Turns out that was ABC's idea and not part of the show at all.

Did anyone watch Jimmy Kimmel's "Aloha to Lost" special afterwards? Harold P. (who played Michael) said that he thought Michael wasn't in the church because he was still on the island as was of the walking dead whispering people.

Well I'm glad there's still discussion. I missed it all when my internet was down.
