Yeah, I agree, no family please. We've been there and done that......to death. And although it keeps us on a time line, I hope we have seen the last of christmas too. Get the Dr away from the human stuff and back into the alien stuff. I will scream if the doctor starts making christmas tree balls to hang up each christmas and we discover that Martha' parents are really called Alice and TOm. The family seems to be as dysfunctional as the HOrtons, so I won't be surprised.

I have seen Queer as Folk. The American version. Didn't know it was a UK show originally. We discovered it a few yrs ago on our foreign channel, SBS. Unbelievable. We were quite shocked but started watching each week because it was actually a good show with not a bad story line for a soap. Hubby and I still have a laugh when we see the dvds for sale. There's no way I'd buy it but I'd rewatch if they played it again on Tv. I did not know RTD was gay. No wonder Torchwood is so raunchy and dripping with gaiety,LOL. Apparently our channel 7 has bought TW and it will be on at midnight so I will have to tape it as I'm curious. Otherwise I would not have cared had it never come here.

The UK is not a very tolerant country for non white people like other mongrel nations like us and you. But one must remember that the white people in the UK are the natives....aborigines so to speak, of their land so I sympathise/empathise with them, having had their land over run [several times in the last millenium] just as I sypathise/empathise with Aborigines, Maouris, American Indians, Inuits etc. It is sad that certain peoples such as Aborigines and Native Americans have had their native culture ruined by intruders, but so too have the natives of the British Isles and it is still being eroded away more today than ever. But, that's the way of the world and it's called progress. Soon, with the EU, the whole of europe will be a huge mongrel nation like us and all their cultures will be gone. Quite sad really, but noone can stay the same forever,we all must evolve, even Television shows must project current day society. Even the Daleks are evolving , but I'll leave you to see that episode, BDM. I think you will love it.
