Subject: Killing of major characters (NCIS spoilers)

They did this in the season finale of "NCIS". . .and that show only had six major characters, four men and two women. They killed off the one woman who was actually an agent (the other woman character is a lab rat. . .the NCIS equivalent of Pendrell on XF or Greg on the early seasons of CSI), apparently because the actress wanted off the show.
I was sad to see her go but, honestly, I wouldn't have wanted to see any of the male characters killed off, either, as I liked everybody on the show. One thing that had been really nice about NCIS is that unlike a lot of dramas where they really only had one major women character (i.e. Scully on XF or Mac on JAG) or where they have two women who don't seem to like each other much (i.e. Catherine and Sara on CSI) the two women on NCIS were good friends who hung out together outside of work and stuff.
I think Vincent is probably safe, det. Unlike with human actors he: 1.) can't tell the producers he wants off the show and 2.) can easily be replaced with a look-alike.
