I think we've had backstories on all of the main characters, haven't we? We met Claire's baby's father who turned out to be a bum, but it's not Charlie.

I think Boone was popular with teen/preteen girls. Aw, I can understand your daughter being upset IG. That seems to be the new trend with tv dramas--expendable characters. A few years we raely dreamed that any major regular character would be killed off on a trv show. The only one I can think of is Henry Blake from MASH and that was considered quite a bold move on the writer's part. The number one character on my list whom they'd better not kill off on LOST is Vincent.
