Subject: where Joan might have gone...
In reply to: Islandgirl 's message, "Interesting article about ratings and cancellations" on 11:53:40 06/08/05 Wed

My guesses...Kevin would somehow walk again (probably a good series finale), Joan has to confide in her classmates & need their help to battle Evil Guy, God starts talking to Joan's Mom & she also has missions that help out Joan (knowingly or unknowingly), a Joan & Adam reunion after some big penance by him, Friedman gets seriously into drugs & has to be intervened on, Grace & the geek brother go thru alot but stay together, Joan's Dad gets wind of all these goings on & thinks the whole family has gone nuts but the big lug comes around in the end. The show would be better off ending at Joan's graduation cause one can imagine the unrealisticness of having Joan go to the local college with Grace, Adam & everyone she knows just happening to go there as well or just hanging around.

I thought a switch to UPN or WB could be a solution but those 2 networks are all 18-49 (or really 18-21). No way they want an older audience show. Perhaps a cable network could take it but I've heard Amber is already signing off on multiple film projects so a renewed series would have lost her already. Maybe we could get a TV movie down the road at some point.
