Subject: "NUMB3RS" (minor spoilers for the 1/28 ep)

I really enjoyed last night's ep; I think I'm officially "hooked" on "NUMB3RS" now! I liked both the case and the family interaction. In the part where Don and Terri were wandering through the basement with their flashlights, they kind of reminded me of Mulder and Scully.
I have to say this about Rob Morrow: he is *definitely* one of those men who gets better with age. I remember him from "Northern Exposure" and he was kinda cute on that, but nothing to get excited about. But in this show -- especially the scene where he was wearing blue jeans and the black shirt with the arms rolled up -- YUMMY!
My favorite bit of dialogue:
Dad: What happened to your arm?
Don: It got scraped.
Dad: Scraped? Scraped by what?
Don: Well, a bullet. But it's nothing to get excited about.
There is one area where I think they could improve the show a bit. IMHO, the physics professor doesn't add a whole heckuva lot. They don't need *two* older, male "father figures" in the cast and Judd Hirsch does a terrific job as Charlie and Don's actual father. I realize the producers want somebody Charlie can "talk math" with, but I'd much rather it be the pretty young graduate student; they should upgrade her role and downplay the physics guy.
