Golden Eclipse is young, with no mate. She has decided to make her way out in the world. "Listen, I know she was mine at first, but I left her, even if it was by accident. You have had her much longer than I, and I dub you her mother, if you want her. I will someday have my own foal, and my own stallion. Some day. You shall have one of these things sooner than I-- a foal. You take her." Eclipse smiles, reassuring the mare. - She catches sight of the new filly out of the corner of her eye. She turns to Celestial Patience, who swears she isn't hungry, and makes a mental note to make her eat again very soon. She then clambers to her feet, stepping quickly towards this new filly, eyes troubled. "Oh my..." she inhales sharply when she nears, noticing the filly's poor condition. She lowers her head and gently nudges the filly, "It's alright, my dear..." Her muzzle trails down the filly's body, and her large tongue begins to massage at her coat, cleaning her as her mother ought to have... "We'll help you find your mother..." Or, she knew, there was a possibility that her mother couldn't be found, but she didn't voice this other option. - She reaches down to nuzzle the now lying filly, and flashes her a glance of concern as she pulls her head back up. The filly hadn't suckled for long... Maybe she wasn't very hungry, but she doubted that- foals seemed to always be good eaters, from her experience. She folds her knees and lowers herself down beside the filly, nudging her lightly under her chin and whispering, "Are you sure you've had your filly, my darling?" She brings her head back towards herself so that she can get a good look at the filly as she answers, to insure that every word is truthful... Her eyes flash with motherly concern. - She nudges the filly's chin once more, gently, pulling away to look her in the eyes, "Now, now, my little Celeste, you wouldn't lie to me about this, would you? I want you to be a strong, healthy, happy little girl..." Her voice chokes up near the end of her phrase, because she realizes it's up to the filly as to whether she'll nurse more, or starve herself.
