Subject: actually there are contemporary cases (rare) where amputees stayed in the military. It may require a new career path for a line officer, but as Bud is staff that should not be a problem

I have heard from extremely reliable sources that Bud has signed a contract for another couple years. I would assume that means he doesn't die or leave.
