Jewel, I have a few tricks up my sleeve but there is alot to learn. Actually I learned how to paste and copy on this very forum only about 2 months ago. I've come a long way since then.
I'm not sure where you are trying to save it from?
Are you saving as wallpaper or background fom web?
I'd right click in internet explorer it's part of the menu.

I have the problem because I'm running win95 and it can only deal with backgrounds as bitmaps and although I'd walk a mile for Steve Perry, don't want to use that much resources on a background. I think win 98 is capable of using the gif and jpg format. You should be able to add the
Perry background to your wallpaper files. If you are trying to find a html code to put a background on a message never have done it, but I'll look into it, sounds possible. I know it is done on websites but I don't have the code.

I tried to change this posts background color but it didn't work. May only be able to change the text here.
