I worked for four years in the "lower ranks" of the food service / catering industry for several different chefs at a local university.
*** actually, I was their "gopher" ...
assigned the task of setting up and clearing the banquet rooms - helping them to "plate" the meals for each guest - and, working as a server from time to time.
And, I developed a great amount of respect and appreciation for the chef's ability to create "from scratch" marvelous events centered around the dining experience!

My introduction to wines, and the ways they are used to accompany the food with which they are served began just recently however! :)
But, we're never too old to learn I've been told!

Browsing through the Undergraduate Catalog for MTSU, I found a course entitled "Wine Science and Industry" ...
One of the pre-requisites for this course is Chemistry!

Here's part of the course description ?! ...
"The science and marketing of wine, including grape production, fruit processing, and fermentation technologies."

Anyways ...
to me, it's kind of interesting!
Thanks for listening!
- BC
