The main idea spawns from the character named Lazaus. The name itself comes from the man who was raised from the dead supposedly, so I figure that he was one of the human crew members that some how made it back to earth alive. I'm suspecting it is Mark Marsh, the engineer. Why Marsh, well the guy doesn't look Russian for one thing, or Japanesse for another, and something tells me that an English Professor wouldn't be easy to trick. Or a Belin Chemist, so I assume it's Marsh.

My guess is that Marsh may have been influnced by Starscream or the bug that throws the skull shells (I can't remember his name.) And talked him into seeing how useful the Cons could be for him, SS's thinking that Laz would be just a little toy to play with. Well Marsh realizes that the only way to stop this flight from leaving earth with the Cons in tow is to blow it up. So he plants a bomb, and hides in a escape shuttle that deploys just before the ship blows. Laz gets the scar when Sparkplug finds out what he is doing, and Laz knocks out good ol' Sparkplug when Sparkplug tries and stops him. During the fight Sparkplug somehow wounds Marsh/Laz, and the villan manages to escape in the shuttle. However he takes Starscream with him, and deactivates the little schemer, then has his friends add the control chips and digs up the other Decepticons.

I figure it had to be someone on the ship, and an engineer, with some guidence, could rig up an explosion that would allow for the Cons to escape. (And who says he dug up all the Cons in the comic.)

Well there's my theory, sorry it's choppy I'm doing this while I'm in class, and I've got two things to think about.
