The only other thing that I thought was a bit off was the fact that Spike was at all considering letting Prime rust. This from the guy who wanted to teach Optimus how to play basket ball.

From Spike's POV, Optimus Prime = guy who let his father die. Obviously he only felt this way on the surface, since he did ultimately decide to bring him back to life

And I was actually supprised that Megatron was able to pull out of the programing so fast. (And Grimlock being controlled. Oh sweet mother Mary Francis!)

Megatron has stronger willpower? Perhaps it's because Megatron's been active longer... or maybe it's just random, who knows...

Also what supprised me was the fact that we get the ball really rolling with this one, there was no sudden pauses or anything to lead up to it, just BOOM! Is it any wonder now that Megs was so visious in the movie? I think I would be pissed off too if some person was trying to order me around like some puppet.

Yeah, slavery kinda sucks -- well, from Megatron's POV, slavery only sucks when you're the slave.

I thought the artwork was much improved in this issue. But being the anally retentive nitpicking git that I am, here are a few things that didn't sit quite right with me in this issue:

1. After Spike places the piece of the Matrix back into Prime's holder and shields his face -- all his fingers are drawn to be the same length!! What the--?!

2. Why does Frenzy have piledrivers??

That's about it. I have less to bitch about in this issue than the last, which must mean that the comic is getting gooder!

Nice to see a BLUE Soundwave in a US comic for once!

As for the speech bubble thing, yes, it would be nice if the Transformers had different speech bubbles to the humans. I'll just point out that Marvel used three different styles of speech bubbles for Transformers (not including special characters like Unicron):

* The US comics had square speech boxes with three 'prongs' protruding from each corner (hence 12 prongs per box).
* The UK comics had round speech bubbles, but with a zig-zag shaped "tail" (the thing which connects the bubble with the speaker).
* The G2 comics had a heptagon speech box, with the left hand side featuring a column of sqaures coloured individually according to the character -- e.g.: Optimus Prime had blue, red and white, Megatron had green, brown and black (since he was the G2 tank), Grimlock had red, yellow and black etc.

In other news, my afore-promised pics of me cosplaying as Megatron is on my website now, in the "Transfans of the World" section (see direct link on this board). ;-D
