I agree. I think the same thing should hold true in other instances. From what I understand, the network USA has been 'squatting' on the rights to show Ninja Turtles cartoons for some time, preventing other stations from showing them, when they themselves stopped cartoons a long time ago.

Another instance is Fox, with their rights to Beast Wars and Beast Machines. They don't have the weekday slot anymore, but I bet they still hold the rights to the shows, even though they have nowhere to show them.

Lucky for me, it's not as much an issue here. YTV has begun airing "Beasties" again right before RiD on Saturday mornings... I'd rather it were weekdays, and "Beast Wars"(sounds better in the theme, IMO), but I'm not going to nitpick too much... yet.
