My daughter now 14 went thru this vision therapy when she was 6 that you are talking about. It was expensive,($5,000) yes, but it did help. The bad thing is she should be in occupational therapy still but our insurance only covered that for a few months. It is too expensive, we can't afford it. I feel terrible that we can't afford it. I decided to homeschool her 2 yrsago. It is public school, online. She still has an IEP, which allows her accomodations like having tests read aloud and being able to use a calculator, BUT, I feel soooooo stressed, and sometimes ignorant, because the work is hard for me! So I don't see how I could expect her to know it....lol!
I guess all I'm saying really is that I think the vision thing should be checked but I know that even though she hasn't been diagnosed by a Dr. I know she is dyslexic! I have read online for symptoms and she has almost every single one of them! I don't know what else to do for her! Wish I had a magic wand to make it a least a little easier. I feel so hopeless and depressed a lot of times. She has so much going for her, but I wonder if she will even be able to go to college.
