you are exhausting yourself, and your child CAN'T keep up. that's not going to work.

there are many reasons that a student might have trouble reading. some of them can be remediated.

here's a FREE website with training materials for students with decoding deficit issues. http://www.decode-abc.com

the site provides intensive, systematic exercises for handling simple vowel and vowel-consonant pairs. it's ridiculously easy and trivial - unless your child can't do it. in that case, these exercises are amazingly effective.

decoding deficit is only one of many possible causes. try the site for a week (15 minutes of training a day), if it doesn't help then move on to something else.

decoding deficit is often caused by chronic ear infections in early childhood that prevent the child from accurately hearing the sounds of language.
