I would have to disagree with your thoughts on not taking medication prescribed by a Dr. Maybe you should not call them meds and think of them as vitamins , that your body isn't producing in the right dosages. I've run the gauntlet on the self medication thing and now I'm a hell of a mess but only temporarily. Does this make sense, Why would you treat dression with a depressant? If you're bleeding you look for bandages not blood thinners.
You're probably better off without a substance abuser in your life any how. Call your Dr. get some medicatin and kick the bottle out of your life. I was a social drinker who really enjoyed making my own wine but I can't drink while taking Wellbutrin so no more winemaking. I was making about 20-30 gallons a year and it was GOOD, but I think I'll pick stability over a crutch. Keep your chin up and smile, some day I'' going to smile again I just know it.
