Jonathan ,
At this stage of my life , I'm asking the same questions at times . But , there is love in this world , at times it just seems really hard to find . At times , it is there , and due to things from our past , we refuse to let ourselves accept that we really deserve the love that people want to give to us . Right now , I hate myself for wasting thirty plus years of my life when I know "that" supposed love was dead in the water so many years ago . I watched Larry King on CNN the other night . His guests as I recall were men of the cloth from what I believe was five different religions . I can't recall all of the different faiths represented . I know one was a proposed Christian , one from the Jewish faith , a Moslem , and I can't recall the other faiths represented . Here's my point . In this great time of need in our country , these men who were on the program , who were supposed to be there to bring a greater understanding of the goodness of any person who believes in a loving God , began to argue about which person's faith would let them see Heaven or the face of God after death . It literally made me sick at my stomach just listening to them . I guess I consider myself a Christian . But what right does that give me to condemn anyone of any different faith ? Maybe I'm not a Christian . But I do believe that there is someone of a " Higher Power " running the show on this place that we have made a pathetic little planet . But here's the good point for you and I both . We are both angry at God . You can't be angry at someone or something that you don't deep down in your heart believe really exist . Jonathan , I am as confused as you right now . But all this pathetic excuse for a person can do right now , is extend my hand to you in love and friendship . Keep the faith brother . As humans , for now all we have is each other . ......Peace
