Dear Bill,

You've given them so much. You have been greatly underappreciated in that job. I'm SO GLAD that you are leaving.

You've done your best leaving instructions and they had way more than enough notice. (When I left my last job, I gave them 4 weeks, an instruction book, and they had my replacement work with me for 2 days. Then, they hired me to help out after I'd left. I finally 'freed' myself from them by raising my hourly price a lot. Luckily, you'll be far away, but I'll bet that they'll be asking for your phone number in case they have any questions. My word of advice on that is don't give it to them. (If you don't want the direct confrontation just make a "mistake" when you give it to them or I believe that they'll have you working for free, my friend. And you need all your time and energy for your new life.)
