The catacombs are emtpy?! Yow!! I have no idea what might have happened to them, except I can tell you that the Nathaniel-esque thing that had been in their previously certainly didn't look like a corpse to me, medically speaking. It's quite possible that the disappearance of this statue has nothing to do with Nathaniel's remains at all.
It could be, for instance, that at daybreak he turned to ash. It could be that after we left, whatever ate the werewolves ate Nathaniel. Who knows? I really don't understand the Cathedral much, although I'll be sure to take a long look around when I got here next, probably within the next two days.
So now that my curiosity is piqued, where did you hear this rumor? I think I probably go to the Cathedral more than any other vampire in the city, with the possible exception of the Nosferatu, whose habits I know nothing of. The werewolves very graciously allow me to meditate there when I feel a need to get away from everything, although they insist on providing me an escort. Now I haven't been there for at least two weeks, but last I remember everything was as normal as it ever was.
As for your sister, I see her on occasion. She's been pretty healthy lately, and I haven't seen evidence that she's drinking anyone we know, although her boyfriend is most certainly a ghoul. Although I have the medical savvy to verify this, I do not have the political savvy to postulate on who his regnant might be. If there is action you want me to take in this matter beyond keeping an eye on her, please let me know.
You may be interested to know that William Pitt has been released. In a court maneuver worthy of you, I think, Parker, myself, and Pitt's child each managed to publicly apply pressure on Blackwell to release Pitt which he could not ignore without losing face. Pitt has closed his bar and seems to be giving up bartending to pursue a career on social activism. These are exciting times.
Also, I'm sure you heard about how Sophia branded her monogram onto Hannah's face, and I think you'll be pleased to learn that I have removed it. Cosmetic surgery is not really my strength, but in order to deal Sophia an embarassment, I gave it the extra effort and managed to do an adequate job, if I do say so myself. Hannah gave her new face a debut at Oliver's first court, and Sophia was quite publicly speechless. I wish you could have seen it.
I eagerly await news of any of your projects which you "are still working on." You're a good guy to know.
