Patrolling is exactly the sort of thing we should be doing. Neonates taking actions to protect the interests of neonates. Good for you. Count me in.

I think it's odd that the same people who criticize the Camarilla for letting the elders steamroll the neonates are also criticizing Julia for not protecting their havens from the sabbat. Does anyone else see that this is contradictory?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about denouncing the way the Elders use their position to bully and manipulate us, but this line of reasoning just doesn't hold up. The elders try to convince us that if you aren't an elder, you aren't fit to hold a position of responsibility, you aren't worth being listened to, and you should be content to meekly follow the bidding of other's. We all know this is crap, but the neonates who think want to rely on Julia, an elder, to defend their havens have obviously bought this propoganda.

Julia's job is to enforce the traditions, and she does so under the direction of the Prince. Her job is NOT to wage a one woman war against the Sabbat. Do people honestly feel entitled to having their havens defended for them simply because they are members of the camarilla? Or is it that they don't feel like they CAN defend their havens, and so they want to run under the skirts of the Elders'?

So kudos to Jacob - he has his head on straight. We have problems, and we'll take care of our problems, no elders necessary. For anyone else who wants to bitch about Julia not doing what you want her to be doing, I suggest you try monitoring all five boroughs, protecting the peace and safety of all their residents, and keeping a check on the Sabbat in your free time. I'd like to see anyone who could do it half as well as Julia does.
