.x. Briar collapsed, catching himself with his hands. Ouch. Quickly he lashed out with a foot to bring Mia down, then leapt up, grabbing the girls arms and twisting them behing her back with one hand. With the other he let a knife slip in. He wouldn't hurt Mia, at least not badly. But she was his current escape route; and besides, if he let her go she might cause more damage...Inwardly Briar kicked himself. He was starting to sound like that-that cat. .x.

.x.x. The demon smiled, flashing dagger-like teeth, pacing in Briar's mind. They were starting to bleed together...Or more like the demon was bleeding into him. Mia's kick had weakned Briar's mental defense. .x.x.

.x. Briar shifted to feet watching Lily. Then... What was he doing? He stopped momentarily.

((OCC-Feel free to batter him...Anyways, I'm still desiding whether to have him accept help or run away.))
