Subject: Do what you think is best...
In reply to: Looking for a silver lining 's message, "Push next week’s Oireachtas back to Spring 2021 for a safer AND World Qualifying event" on 07:20:27 11/18/20 Wed

I fully understand everyone's concern with the current status of COVID, however, no one is forcing anyone to attend. If a family is not comfortable with the arrangements and safety measures put in place for the upcoming event, they can opt-out. If people are comfortable, then by all means attend and use general caution as you would anywhere else. It is disappointing it is no longer a "qualifying" event but we need to make the best of it, considering the last minute notice of the change. If there is one thing we should all have learned from COVID is how to be flexible and adaptable, even if the circumstances are not ideal. I think everyone should do what they feel most comfortable with and what is best for their family. Don't judge if you do, or do not attend.

You will surely expose people upon return, at the venue etc. It’s like second-hand smoke. Don’t mind smokers, but don’t smoke by me. -- ., 20:25:33 11/18/20 Wed (NoHost/172.58.139.194)
