Subject: Dress on flight

Hello,
I am flying for the first time for dance and was looking for tips on transporting all my stuff on a plane. My dress bag is fairly large and I do not think it will meet carry on restrictions, any advice on that? Any other tips you could give me would be really helpful as well, thank you.

... use your gaffers tape and tape the ends in so it looks smaller. It’s just temporary so it shouldn’t hurt the dress. Once you get on the plane, you can remove the tape. i’ve done this a few times without an issue. I have also, on many many occasions, never been asked about it whatsoever. Safe travels!

[> [> [> I’ll often use a laptop bag/briefcase as my personal item instead of a purse so I can fit plenty of essentials if I’m traveling solo. If traveling with someone, one person carries on the dress(es), the other person gets the carry on with essentials -- No name, 16:47:48 02/09/21 Tue (mobile-107-77-209-97.mobile.att.net/107.77.209.97)

[> We have flown numerous times - we wrap dress in sheet and put in a hard sided carry-on. Also in that carry- on goes anything we can’t replace:wig, shoes etc. We pack a smaller dress bag that be folder into other luggage. -- Never a problem, 11:05:51 02/09/21 Tue (124.sub-174-203-104.myvzw.com/174.203.104.124)
