I do wonder if they would have had to license the technology or if they were guilty of stealing some intellectual property... It was an innovative solution, anyway. They just used two systems at the same time with a 4-track reel-to-reel unit, so they could get the audio, as well as the needed amount of movements. The original movements were recorded using doorbell buttons on a huge console. Im still trying to learn how to decode the data that is recorded in the audio signal, I don't know much about it. BTW, do you happen to know if I could still aquire replacement playback boards like the one in the right of the picture?
