Refurbished playback boards are still available. Follow the Pianocorder Resources link at the top of this page, pointing to my site where there's a list of technicians, some of whom still have spare parts (try Carl Meyer for playback and driver boards). My site also provides the system schematics, operational descriptions and troubleshooting guides in PDF format.

I do have a capture system which could transcribe the show tape data to a computer-based format for editing and examination. If you were to send some WAV files on CD-R or DVD-R, I'd be willing to run a few through for you out of curiosity. The Pianocorder signal consists of 128-bit frames, each containing the state of all 82 note and pedal solenoids. There are about 35 frames per second.

We should probably take this to email since it's getting somewhat off-topic.
